Season’s greetings from Engaging Communities Solutions (ECS)

As a difficult year draws to a close, everyone at ECS wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The Covid-19 pandemic changed lives and our response to it reminded us of the importance of focusing not just on our individual needs but also of putting mutual care and support at the centre, preserving the dignity of people, and the principles of cooperation and solidarity.

The network of ECS Healthwatch offices will close from 5pm on Thursday 23rd December 2021. Offices will reopen for business as usual on Wednesday 29 December, but you can still get in touch by sharing your experience of local health and social care services on our websites, completing our online form, or sending us an email, and we will reply as soon as possible once we’re back in the office in January.

Tips on staying safe this year

To help keep ourselves and our families safe, it’s vital that we all make the right choices during the festive season. Please remember:

  • HANDS – Wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds.

  • FACE – Wear a face covering while indoors where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will meet people, you do not normally meet.

  • SPACE – Stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place where 2 metres isn’t possible. Extra precautions can include wearing face coverings or increasing ventilation indoors.

Thank you for all the support over the past 12 months! Happy Holidays!
