Community Inquiry in Stoke-on-Trent – project

ECS have been commissioned by Stoke-on-Trent City Council to undertake work on a community or citizen’s inquiry. The project will build on the success of the Community Health Champions who have worked to engage with marginalised communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. New funding has been made available to recruit and train community researchers to work in their communities to understand the reasons for health inequalities, what the barriers are for different groups and localities in overcoming health inequality and what assets are already there in communities to work together and improve the health of the local community. The project is starting now and we will be out and about recruiting new community researchers to work alongside community health champions who want to be involved.
